£20.00 Makeup Challenge

I read this fun post on Jess' blog (Check hers out here) and thought I would try it out for myself. The aim of the game is to purchase makeup items for your face for £20.00 (or under). Items must include base, eyes, lips and tools.

I decided that I would look at my own makeup and first see how much I normally spend.

So here goes, normally I buy these products for a 'natural' day look:

Rimmel Hide The Blemish Concealer £4.49
GOSH Pressed Powder £7.99
Rimmel Blusher £3.99
Mascara £7.10
Bare Escentuals Face Brush free from my cousin

Total Amount = £23.57

After looking at what I usually buy, I came to the conclusion that I couldn't give any of it up. (£3.57 over the challenge isn't too bad is it?) mainly because I have used the same products for over two years and I think that they compliment my skin tone well. The only product I would consider changing is my mascara as the one I use now seems to stick my eyelashes together. Only I would probably go for a higher branded one, such as Benefit Bad Gal as normally these brands tend to do a better job, although if you think that there is a cheaper brand of mascara that works just as well as the higher priced brands, feel free to let me know :-)
